Jackson EMC: Trains 1st responders; new foundation board members; linemen win top award

*Jackson EMC recently hosted more than 280 first responders from Banks, Barrow, Hall, Clarke, Gwinnett and Jackson counties to learn how to safely navigate emergency situations involving live – or “presumedly live” – downed powerlines. Another topic was the growing number of electric vehicles on the roads and how to handle emergency responses involving them.

*Towanna Johnson of Barrow County and Dee Anderson of Gwinnett are the newest members of the Jackson EMC Foundation Board of Directors.

*And a journeyman lineman team from the electric co-op was named the top electric cooperative team at the 39th Annual International Linemen’s Rodeo in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
