Infant’s remains found buried in NE Ga.

One arrest has been made, and another person is being sought after the remains of a newborn were found recently buried in Elbert County.

The investigation began after authorities received a tip that a baby had been buried several months earlier. Using a cadaver dog, drone and other resources, investigators located a wooden box buried several feet deep containing remains believed to be those of a nearly full-term baby.

WYFF reports Audra Summerville, 38, has been arrested and charged with concealing the death of another, while warrants have also been issued for Joshua Sewell.

Investigators say the infant was reportedly stillborn, but the medical examiner’s findings have not yet been released.
