Infant dead, parents charged; More Flock fallout; Sheriff suspended

*An Atlanta couple is facing charges connected to the death of an infant. Officers arrested the man and woman for child cruelty and deprivation, while the man alone is charged with second-degree murder. The child was initially found unresponsive at a home on Mary George Avenue just over three-months ago. Doctors declared the infant dead at Hughes Spalding hospital.  
 
*Three Bibb County sheriff’s deputies are facing criminal charges for allegedly using the Flock camera system for personal reasons. All suspects were arrested yesterday for oath of office violations and stalking.

*Burke County’s sheriff is suspended by Georgia’s governor. Brian Kemp issued the suspension of Sheriff Alonzo Williams yesterday after a review of his criminal indictments. Williams was federally indicted for multiple counts of extortion last month. He’s accused of taking cash payments to help make DUI charges disappear five times between 2021 and 2022.
