Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) workers were busy for several hours Saturday making emergency repairs to a washed-out shoulder of I-985. The problem was caused by this week’s storms, according to a posting the GDOT Facebook page.
One northbound right lane near mile marker 19 was closed for about one mile during the work.
GDOT sent out a traffic alert this morning warning that motorists should be prepared for delays in the area or see alternate routes.
