One person was killed in late night house fire Thursday in Banks County.
Just before midnight firefighters were called to the 600 block of Russ Rumsey Road where they found a house fully involved in flames. They had been told that one person, a man, was trapped inside.
Not long after the fire was brought under control, the victim’s body was found inside the ruins of the house, which was destroyed by the fire. His name had not been released at last check and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
