Helen’s has been around for 52 years. Now, Lanier Islands Resort is getting into the act with plans for a hot air balloon festival Sept. 18–19, offering two evenings of balloon displays, entertainment and family activities.
The event will run 5:00-10:00 both days, featuring illuminated balloons, live performances and other attractions. And a portion of the proceeds will benefit local special‑needs initiatives as well as the Gainesville-based Georgia Mountain Food Bank, according to event organizers.
Gates open at 5 p.m. each day.
Single-day General Admission:
