*A patient at Northeast Geogia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton was jailed over the weekend after he reportedly became disruptive and tried to grab a security guard’s gun. HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE: “…According to preliminary details…Neil John Devries, 37, of Flowery Branch, got out of his hospital bed, approached the security guard…and lunged at his handgun, attempting to snatch it from his holster. Additional security responded and detained Devries… No one suffered injuries during the incident.” Devries was charged with reckless conduct and disorderly conduct.
*A 64-year-old man reports the theft of speakers worth $9,000 from a building in the 1600 block of Atlanta Highway. A Gainesville Police Department (GPD) spokesman says there were signs of forced entry.
