Hope for Hall has received approval from the Forsyth County Board of Education this to build an inclusive playground at Kelly Mill Elementary School, marking a milestone for the organization and the community.
The project was led by founder Caroline Filchak and board member Leanne Reith, who promoted the idea of creating a play space where children of all abilities could participate together. The group said the playground is intended to provide opportunities for belonging, accessibility and shared play.
Hope for Hall expressed appreciation to the board for supporting the project and allowing the organization to move forward with a plan they said will benefit children for generations.
The organization’s most recent project was finished last November. Hope for Hall’s latest playground is finished
