*Georgia is again in the top 30 among states in which to live, according to a new survey from WalletHub. Just like last year, it’s #27. WalletHub analyzed housing costs, job opportunities, quality of education and safety in ranking the states. Idaho, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire top the list. New Mexico comes in last at #50.
*The city of Sylvester in south-central Georgia is helping people buy homes. People attending the event Saturday could learn by asking questions and talking with home ownership experts from banks, realtor companies, and insurance agencies. Plus, get information on mortgage assistance and how to improve credit.
*Seven members of an organized auto break-in ring have each pled guilty to racketeering, theft and other charges for stealing from nearly 500 cars across Gwinnett County. Each received a 20-year sentence. The Gwinnett district attorney says the defendants, who were between the ages of 21 and 26 at the time of the crimes, broke into at least 492 vehicles to steal guns, cash, and other items.
