Here we go again: Winter Weather Advisory

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for several northeast Georgia counties including White and Lumpkin.

It’s effective from 7:00 tonight until 7:00 tomorrow morning and forecasters says there’s a 70-90% chance the affected areas will get rain mixed with freezing rain which will result in ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch.

Other counties included in the advisory are Fannin, Gilmer, Union, and Towns.

Meanwhile, another few days of bitterly cold weather is on our doorstep. For Hall County, the NWS is predicting lows of 20 Friday night, 19 Saturday night, and 28 Sunday night. Highs on Friday 42, Saturday 31, and Sunday 40. But no rain, sleet, freezing rain, or snow are in the forecast.
