Traffic in both directions on I-985 near Flowery Branch was halted for a time Tuesday afternoon – but not for one of the usual reasons. It was so a helicopter ambulance could land.

“๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฐ:๐ญ๐ฐ ๐ฝ.๐บ.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of I-985 have reopened for travel.
A CHOA (Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta) ambulance broke down as it was on the way to the hospital in Atlanta, and it was much more expedient to call for the life-flight helicopter to land rather than wait for another ambulance to arrive. We appreciate the patience of our Hall County motorists as well as the kindness expressed here on social media for the child.
