Dangerous heat will continue across portions of northern Georgia today, including Hall County, according to the weather service, along with some severe thunderstorms.
An Extreme Heat Warning and a Heat Advisory are in effect from noon through 8:00 tonight in parts of north Georgia. By now you should know the drill: Stay safe in the heat! Limit outdoor activities, wear light weight clothing and stay hydrated.
At the same time, scattered thunderstorms are forecast from mid-afternoon into early evening for portions of north Georgia, again, including Hall County. It’s a Level 2 (out of 5) alert for “damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, large hail, and heavy rainfall.”
