*The Georgia Heart Institute is preparing to relocate clinics in Dawsonville and Dahlonega. The Dawsonville office is set to move into the Northeast Georgia Health System’s (NGHS) new Dawsonville Medical Plaza 2 building at 22 Prestige Lane with a grand opening planned March 23. The Dawsonville move will take place this spring on an unspecified date and at an unspecified location.
*There were no serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on McEver Road that closed the heavily-traveled road for some time during the morning rush hour Wednesday. The accident happened, according to the state patrol, when a southbound car left the road in a curve and then entered the northbound lane when the driver overcorrected. It then struck the side of a northbound SUV. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. The accident happened about 7:00 near Lake Run, troopers said.
