Headed to the Ga. coast this weekend? Let the traveler beware

A low-pressure system could bring flooding rains to that part of Georgia by the end of the weekend. The National Weather Service (NWS) calling for three-to-five inches of rain along the coast, with a little less through the central part of the state.

As for our area, it looks like Sunday will be damp, windy and cool. But Saturday should be pretty nice if you like cool, dry weather.

And one other thing: a High Fire Danger Alert has been posted for today for all of north Georgia and parts of central, from the Tennessee and North Carolina lines to Macon because of expected low relative humidities. Peachtree City, GA (weather.gov)
