A Gainesville man arrested over the weekend on a burglary charge remained in the Hall County Jail Tuesday morning in lieu of an $11, 600 bond.
Quentin Donyae Brown, 42, was arrested Sunday night in connection to a residential burglary in the 900 block of Black Drive, according to authorities.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“Deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) were dispatched to the house on July 11 after the owners called 911 to report someone had entered the house through windows that had been broken.
The owners reported copper wiring and pipes had been removed from the house. The building was vacant and had recently undergone renovation, according to the investigation. The amount of damage to the house and the stolen copper was estimated at $4,000.
The case was assigned to investigators with HCSO’s property crimes unit.
After interviewing witnesses and talking with a nearby recycling business, investigators were able to tie Mr. Brown to the break-in and thefts. Brown was charged with burglary in the first degree, theft by taking and criminal damage to property in the second degree, all felony offenses…”
