An Oakwood man, Christopher Arroyo, 22, is free on bond following a domestic incident Friday that erupted after his partner rejected his request for sex and she called her mother.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“Just after 5 p.m., HCSO deputies were dispatched to a residence on Holiday Heights Drive after a woman called 911 from out of state to report her daughter was being held against her will. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the 19-year-old female victim outside the house. Arroyo was there as well. Arroyo and the victim lived together at the residence.
The investigation at the scene determined Arroyo and the victim had argued earlier in the day when she refused his sexual advances. At that point, the victim made plans to leave Arroyo. When Arroyo left the residence for a time, the victim called her mother, who lives out of state, and asked for help. She then packed her belongings and called an Uber to pick her up. Arroyo returned home and discovered the victim attempting to leave. Before the victim could exit the house, he pushed her into a bedroom, shoved her to the bed and then dead bolted the door to prevent her from leaving. He also took her phone from her. Arroyo opened the door to the room only after the victim told him she had called her mother and asked her to call law enforcement for help.
Deputies arrested Arroyo on charges of simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA) and felony false imprisonment. Arroyo was transported to the Hall County Jail. He posted a bond of $11,400 and was released from custody on Sunday.”
