A noontime accident in South Hall Friday left several people with minor injuries and a section of Candler Road closed for about two hours.
“A three-vehicle collision is blocking Candler Highway (SR 60) at Roy Parks Road,” the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a Traffic Alert posted on social media. “Expect extended delays as wreckage is removed from the roadway and nearby railroad tracks. Everyone in the vehicles appears to be okay with minor injuries reported.”
The road was reopened about 2:00 but even then, sheriff’s deputies warned there might be some slick spots because of fluids that leaked from the damaged vehicles.
The sheriff’s office’s Accident Investigation Unit investigated but its report had not been completed by the end of the workday Friday, meaning it will probably be Monday at the earliest before any more information is available on the crash.
