HCSO: Related weekend fights end in 8 arrests, one serious injury

Eight people, including one juvenile, face charges related to a fight that occurred Friday in the street outside a residence in the 4500 block of Callie Downs Drive in northeastern Hall County.

HCSO NARRTIVE:

“Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies were dispatched to the scene just before 11:00. When they arrived, they determined three residents of the home had been involved in a physical fight with five people, three female and two male, who had traveled by vehicle to the house. During the course of the fight, one of the females who had traveled to the home was stabbed multiple times with a sharp object. The other four people who had come to the home by vehicle transported her to the hospital. Members of HCSO’s Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) responded to the residence and to the hospital to conduct an investigation.

The preliminary investigation determined the fight was the result of an ongoing dispute among a group of teens and young adults. The altercation at the Callie Downs Drive location is believed to be connected to an assault that occurred the night before at Little River Park.
