HCSO defends handling of missing 12-yr-old’s case

The Hall County Sheriffโ€™s Office (HCSO) acknowledged Monday the high level of community concern about the disappearance of 12-year-old Maria Gomez-Perez while defending its handling of the case, and emphasizing that it, too, is extremely concerned about the young girl’s well-being.

1. Law enforcement officials have a reasonable belief that an abduction has occurred.

2. Law enforcement officials believe that the child is in imminent danger or serious bodily injury or death.

3. Enough descriptive information exists about the victim and the abductor for law enforcement to issue a Levi’s Call.

When Leviโ€™s Call requests are denied, the GBI routinely offers and provides a Media Advisory. ๐†๐๐ˆ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐š ๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐š ๐€๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ง ๐›๐ž๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐Ÿ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‡๐‚๐’๐Ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐š ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ๐ซ๐จ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ง๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก ๐†๐ž๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐š ๐›๐ซ๐จ๐š๐๐œ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ over the weekend with contact information for new information and tips.
