A Cleveland woman remained in the Hall County Jail without bond early Wednesday afternoon following her Monday arrest by Hall County sheriff’s (HCSO) deputies. Angelina Michelle Cagle, 41,was arrested after she reportedly assaulted another woman with a piece of lumber.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“According to the investigation, the victim was walking home from work on Pearl Nix Parkway near West Side Drive in Gainesville just after 7:30 p.m. when Cagle emerged from behind a shed carrying the piece of lumber. Cagle began yelling at the victim and swinging the lumber, striking the victim multiple times on her left arm and her right hand. Cagle ran from the scene after the assault.

A short time later, deputies located Cagle near the scene of the incident and took her into custody. She was charged with felony aggravated assault for the attack. Deputies also located approximately one gram of methamphetamine (estimated street value $100) in Cagle’s possession, so they charged her with felony possession of methamphetamine. Cagle remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond.

Deputies determined Cagle and the victim are acquainted with one another. The motivation for the assault is unknown.  The victim declined medical treatment.”
