HCSO: Atlanta man arrested following chase involving sheriff’s deputies

A 34-year-old Atlanta man who was freed on bond after his weekend arrest is facing a felony charge of attempting to elude following a reckless driving incident on Atlanta Highway, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies said they were conducting speed detection when they clocked a northbound SUV at 80 mph in a 45‑mph zone near Tumbling Creek Road. Deputies pulled behind the vehicle and activated their lights and siren, but the driver, later identified as Sakolo Mohamed, continued north, reportedly swerving in front of other vehicles before turning onto the access road leading to the Fox Factory parking lot.

The driver stopped at the employee entrance and got out of the SUV, complying with deputies from that point forward. Officers then arrested Mohamed, 34. In addition to the felony charge, he was cited for speeding and reckless driving.

He was booked into the Hall County Jail and later posted $7,130 bond. He was released the following morning.
