Funding totaling $2.1 (M) million, including in-kind matches amounting to $336,000, for the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council’s (CJCC) TY ’26 Accountability Court Funding Programs is on the agenda for Monday’s Hall County Commission (HCC) work session.
The money would be earmarked for five local programs: Drug Court, the HELP Program for drug counseling and testing, Family Treatment Court, DUI Treatment Court, and Court Language Access and Screening Tool to provide Spanish-speaking resources and materials to participants in the
Hall County DUI Court.

10 Approve the ratification of the application for the Criminal Justice Coordinating
Council’s (CJCC) FY 2026 Accountability Court Funding Program for the Drug
Court for staffing, technical and professional services, supplies, and training in
the amount of $911,074.00, and if awarded, appoint the Grants Manager as the
Program Designee and authorize the Chairman to execute all related application
and award documents. An in-kind match of $160,778.00 is required.
11 Approve the ratification of the application for the Criminal Justice Coordinating
Council’s (CJCC) FY 2026 Accountability Court Funding for the HELP Program to
fund HELP staff, provide surveillance, counseling, and drug testing in the amount
of $493,042.00, and if awarded, appoint the Grants Manager as Program
Designee and authorize the Chairman to execute all related application and
award documents. An in-kind match of $87,007.00 is required.
12 Approve the ratification of the application for the Criminal Justice Coordinating
Council’s (CJCC) FY 2026 Accountability Court Funding Program for Family
Treatment Court for staffing, technical and professional services, supplies, and
training in the amount of $273,421.00, and if awarded, appoint the Grants
Manager as the Program Designee and authorize the Chairman to execute all
related application and award documents. An in-kind match of $48,251.00 is
required.
13 Approve the ratification of the application for the Criminal Justice Coordinating
Council’s (CJCC) FY 2026 Accountability Court Funding for the DUI Treatment
Court to fund staff, increase surveillance, counseling, drug testing, supplies, and
training in the amount of $132,851.00, and if awarded, appoint the Grants
Manager as the Program Designee and authorize the Chairman to execute all
related application and award documents. An in-kind match of $23,444.00 is
required.
14 Approve the ratification of the application of the Criminal Justice Coordinating
Council’s (CJCC) FY 2023 Accountability Court Language Access and Screening
Tool to provide Spanish-speaking resources and materials to participants in the
Hall County DUI Court program in the amount of $94,646.00, and if awarded,
appoint the Grants Manager as the Program Designee and authorize the
Chairman to execute all related application and award documents. An in-kind
match of $16,702.00 is required.
A number of planning and zoning matters are also to be taken up, including that proposed 248-lot subdivision on Cornelia Highway at Cagle Road and Free Chapel’s proposed Ministry and Retreat Center in South Hall.
