The agenda for this week’s Hall County Commission (HCC) meeting calls for approval of another step in planning for the expansion of the courthouse.
That’s the award of master planning and architectural services to an Atlanta firm. The estimated cost for the master planning is $670,000; the architectural work is not to exceed 7.48% of the final construction cost.

One proposal involves a 25.9‑acre tract at 2632 Sardis Road, where applicant DCCM seeks approval for a storage lot. The property, located at the intersection of Sardis Road and East Sardis Road, is zoned R‑1 and S‑S. The request has been tabled twice, most recently at the June 25 meeting.
The second proposal, submitted by Danji LLC, seeks to rezone more than 109 acres on White Sulphur Road and Seymour Road from Agricultural Residential and Light Industrial to Heavy Industrial. The property, near Cagle Road, is intended for development as an industrial park.
