HCC agenda: Additions to existing facilities, plans to make an intersection more ‘pedestrian friendly’

The agenda for this week’s Hall County Commission work session and voting meeting includes plans to add an “event facility” at The Ark at Lake Lanier, a vacation home rental/retreat located on Dawsonville Road at Cool Springs Road. Also plans for an addition to Lanier Cold Storage on Candler Road.

The commission will be asked to approve an application to the state Department of Transportation for a “pedestrian safety” signal at a North Hall intersection similar to the one in Gainesville at Academy Street and Main Street at the library. It’s called a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon and would be placed on Thompson Bridge Road near its intersection with Hubert Stevens Road. what is a pedestrian hybrid beacon – Search

and under) at Hall County Parks & Leisure Services Community Centers.
