Requests involving a landfill and an agri-entertainment complex are on the agenda for Monday’s Hall County Commission (HCC) work session.
The landfill request is for an inert facility, one that accepts items such as construction scraps, vegetation left over from land clearings, sand, concrete, etc. But no garbage and such on about 12 acres at the Calvary Church Road/Calvary Industrial Road intersection.
The entertainment venue request is for nine acres at Ransome Free Road and Divine Lane.
Also on the agenda: spending a million dollars for three new ambulances; $387,000 for artificial turn at Butler Park; $197,000 for a new boiler at the jail; and rezoning 1.3 acres at 4510 Browns Bridge Road from Agricultural Residential-1 (AR-1) to Highway Business (HB). That would clear the way for a vehicle sales business.
Since this is a work session, which will be streamed at 3:00 on this site, no vote can be taken. The earliest any can be taken is at Thursday’s voting meeting of the board which will also be streamed here.
