The Flowery Branch City Council (FBCC) is the latest local governing body to take up the issue of whether to opt out of the state’s new tax reform bill – HB 581.
The council will hold two special meetings and public hearings on the issue – one Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and another Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 6:00 p.m.
And as a follow-up to a recent public hearing by the Oakwood City Council, that body has a special meeting Monday at 7:00 and the only item on the agenda is “Intent to Opt Out of Homestead Exemption, HB581.”
