Nine Georgia school districts, including Hall County’s, are receiving funding in the latest round of federal grants for electric powered buses.
The systems will receive part of $900 million being allocated nationwide by the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) nationwide for clean bus funding. The move is a push towards electric buses in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas pollution and expand clean vehicles, according to the AJC.
Hall County’s share will be $625,000. Hall’s is the only school system in northeast Georgia getting any of the money.
