*A group of 30 Hall County high school students recently shadowed members of the Gainesville Rotary Club. This initiative, according to Hall County School District (HCSD) officials, aimed to connect students with professionals from various fields, “fostering mentorship and career experiences.” The job shadowing program is part of a broader initiative by the Rotary Club to promote education and professional development within the community.
*Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, Lakeview Academy will open a new program designed to support the specific learning needs of students with dyslexia or other mild language-based learning differences. Led by program director Kelly Fields, Ed.S., the Keystone Program will offer its students specialized instruction in language arts and math while also allowing then to benefit from the robust enrichment and social opportunities of a more traditional school setting.
