Hall County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.2 percent in December, unchanged over the previous month. A year ago, the rate was also 2.2 percent.
The labor force decreased by 1,074 and ended the month with 109,447. That number went up by 1,373 when compared to December 2022. Hall County finished the month with 107,068 employed residents, down by 991 over-the-month and 1,369 compared to the same time a year ago.
In the 13-county Georgia Mountains Region, which includes Hall County and most of northeast Georgia, the December jobless rate was 2.4 percent, the same as November and last December.
