Hall fugitive captured

A 48-year-old Flowery Branch woman, Gina Elaine Sandidge, is back in custody nine months after her escape.

Last Friday, deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) served a warrant on Sandidge at the Clarke County Jail in Athens. She had been on the run since last October.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“Ms. Sandidge, who was part of HCSO’s work release program, left her job to make a court appearance on October 12 at the Hall County Courthouse for probation violation. After her court appearance, she removed her ankle monitor, which was located the same day in the 800 block of Myrtle Street in Gainesville. She is believed to have left the county with her boyfriend.

Ms. Sandidge has been booked into the Hall County Jail on charges of felony escape and felony interference with electronic monitoring device. In addition, she faces a charge of failure to appear for a warrant taken by the Gainesville Police Department.

The suspect is being held without bond.”
