Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Gainesville woman on Monday afternoon, July 8, culminating a child molestation investigation that began earlier this year.
Warrant Service Unit deputies took custody of Johanna Alarcon, 18, without incident at her residence in the southeastern part of Hall County. She is charged with one count of misdemeanor aggravated child molestation.
Deputies first learned of the incident on April 12, when a family member of the victim reported it to HCSO. According to the initial investigation, the incident occurred at the suspect’s home on Feb. 23, and involved a male victim who is under the age of 16.
Deputies booked Alarcon into the Hall County Jail where she remained held without bond on Tuesday morning, July 9.
The case remains under investigation.
