Two people were injured Thursday afternoon when a vehicle struck a tree on Whippoorwill Road in the Gillsville area.
A spokeswoman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said late Tuesday afternoon she had no information on what might have caused the mid-afternoon accident or the extent of injuries, adding that the report had not been completed but that she should have more information Friday morning. The accident is being investigated by the HCSO Accident Investigation Unit (AIU).
In a traffic alert associated with the accident, sheriff’s deputies said a portion of Whippoorwill was closed as emergency personnel worked to free one person who was trapped in the wreckage. The accident happed near Joe Chandler Road.
