Hall Co. student shines at national FFA meet; Jackson Co. student named to statewide Youth LEAD Georgia

*The North Hall FFA (Future Farmers of America) Officer Team recently traveled to the 96th National FFA Convention. One member of the group, junior Bella Grier competed in the National Dairy Competition. “For outstanding performance and effort,” she received a silver finalist pin at the awards ceremony.

*Jake Owensby of Hoschton is one of 30 10th- and 11th-graders from around Georgia that make up the inaugural Youth LEAD Georgia class. A partnership of the University of Georgia (UGA) GA J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, Chick-fil-A, and Rodney Bullard’s The Same House organization, Youth LEAD Georgia is designed to equip youth with the skills and knowledge necessary to be the future leaders of our state, according to a UGA news release.
