Hall Co. jobless rate down a bit

Hall County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.4 percent in December, down two-tenths of a percent from November. A year ago, it was 2.1 percent.

Other notes from the latest Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) report:

*The labor force in the county was down by 559 over-the-month but grew by 723 over-the-year, ending December at 113,671.

*The number of employed residents decreased by 342 compared to November and was up 357 compared to a year ago, totaling 110,938.

*And Hall County maintained a strong job market with 111,400 jobs in December, unchanged over-the-month and up by 800 over-the-year.
