Hall Co. Fire Rescue helps Forsyth firefighters battle large fire

Two Forsyth County firefighters continue to recover after they were slightly injured fighting a fire earlier this week at a 9,000-square-foot house on Pine Tree Circle.

FORSYTH CO. FIRE DEPT. NEWS NEWS RELEASE:

…Due to its size and location, the department had to dispatch 15 apparatus, 2 ambulances and various support vehicles.

This was a heavy operation that required a lot of manpower. We are very thankful to our partnering agencies at Hall County Fire Rescue and Gainesville Fire Department who sent multiple units to assist with this incident AND Dawson County Fire and Emergency Services for staffing one of our stations while this scene was active.

Due to the outstanding teamwork of our engine companies and assisting departments, the fire was controlled by 9 a.m. and the home was salvaged with the potential to be repaired and lived in. No residents or animals in the home were injured.

…(the two injured firefighters) were treated at a hospital. They have since been released and are expected to return to full duty.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.”
