The Hall County Animal Shelter is kicking off summer with half-price adoptions every Friday and Saturday in June as part of its in-house adoption event, “Adoption Pool-ooza.”
“Summertime is a wonderful time to add to your family,” Shelter Manager Stephanie Maloch said Friday. “Whether you enjoy hiking, swimming, visiting parks or simply taking an evening walk, we have adoptable pets ready to become the perfect companion for your summer adventures, and we want to offer a fun way to keep them cool, too.”
As part of Adoption Pool-ooza, the shelter will set up swimming pools in its outdoor play areas for adoptable dogs to enjoy. While supplies last, adopters will also receive a free doggy pool, sprinkler or splash pad to help their new pets keep cool this summer and settle into their new homes.
“We encourage families to come out, spend time with the animals and help make a difference, whether they’re ready for a full-time commitment or not,” Maloch said. “Even spending a little bit of time playing with these pets helps socialize the animals, enriches their day and brings them one step closer to finding a forever home.”
Every Friday and Saturday in June, adoptions will cost the following prices: Puppies and small dogs: $42. Large dogs: $12. Senior Dogs: FREE. Urgent dogs/cats: FREE. Cats/Kittens: $12. Senior Cats: FREE.
All of Hall County’s adoptable pets come spayed or neutered, microchipped and have their first round of vaccinations.
The shelter is open Tuesday-Saturday 9:00-4:00 or visit animal shelter online to browse adoptable pets. Questions? Call the shelter at 678-450-1587.
