Habersham County is encouraging property owners to attend an upcoming
open house to learn more about the proposed Unified Development
Ordinance (UDO) and review how the proposed mapping changes may affect
their property.
The open house will be held on June 11 in the Second Floor
Conference Room of the Habersham County Administration Building, 9:00-11:00 or 6:00-8:00. Residents may attend at any
time during the designated hours.
Unlike a traditional public meeting, the event is designed as a drop-in open
house, allowing property owners to review mapping information at their own
pace and speak directly with Planning Commission members.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Review their property’s current and proposed zoning designation
Learn how the proposed Unified Development Ordinance may affect
their property
Speak one-on-one with Planning Commission members
Ask questions about the proposed regulations and development
standards
Before any final action is taken, county officials encourage residents to
review the proposed changes and become informed about how they may
impact their property and the community.
No formal presentation will be given during the open house.
For additional information regarding the proposed Unified Development
Ordinance, visit the UDO information page on the county’s website or
