Gville woman arrested in May theft of two cars

Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Gainesville woman over the weekend in connection with the theft of two cars in May.

Deputies found Summer Danielle Taylor, 30, on a boat at a dock in the 6800 block of Lights Ferry Road Sunday evening and took her into custody without incident. She is charged with two felony counts of theft by taking.

The investigation began June 15 when deputies received a report that one of the stolen cars had been sold at a junkyard on Athens Highway. Investigators later confirmed both vehicles — a 2000 BMW 328i and a 2002 BMW 330i — were sold to GO Pull‑It on May 13.

Authorities said the 25‑year‑old victim had parked the cars at a friend’s house on Memorial Park Drive earlier this year. Taylor, who knew a tenant at another residence on the property, allegedly stole the cars and sold them without permission. Investigators said she received less than $1,000 for the vehicles, which were valued at about $7,000 combined.

Taylor was booked into the Hall County Jail and remains held on $11,400 bond.
