A motorcyclist was killed in an East Hall motorcycle accident late Monday afternoon.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(About 6:00) Troopers responded to the scene at the intersection of Lula Road and Breezy Drive.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on Lula Road when, while negotiating a curve, it veered off the right side of the roadway. Subsequently, the motorcycle collided with a culvert pipe, propelling it airborne. In the air, it collided with a sign before impacting the ground, causing the driver to be thrown and ultimately striking a tree.
Both the driver and the motorcycle came to an uncontrolled final rest in the wood line adjacent to the road.
The driver, Marshall Thomas of Gainesville, GA succumbed to injuries upon arrival at the hospital.”
