A Gainesville man remained in the Hall County Jail Friday morning following his arrest Thursday on more than a dozen criminal counts involving possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Internet Crimes Against Children
(ICAC) Unit received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited
Children (NCMEC), notifying them of multiple instances of suspicious activity on email
addresses linked to Martin Pedro, age 20. The subsequent investigation led to the
discovery of 18 videos depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The investigation into Pedro’s online activity continues and additional charges are possible.
The GBI’s ICAC Task Force is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
Pedro is currently being held with no bond.”
Currently, he’s facing 18 counts of sexual exploitation of children.
