Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Violent Crimes Unit have filed charges in a child molestation incident that occurred last month at a residence on Gaines Drive.
Alfredo Estrada-Jimenez, 36, of Gainesville, has been charged with sexual battery, two counts of child molestation and false imprisonment in connection with the Oct. 24 assault.
HCSO patrol deputies were first notified of the assault when they responded to the residence just before 7:30 p.m. The mother of the juvenile victim (a girl under the age of 16) reported Estrada-Jimenez had followed her daughter into a bathroom and kissed her, leaving a visible mark on the child’s body. Estrada-Jimenez was arrested at the scene on the sexual battery charge. He was transported to the Hall County Jail.
The additional charges of child molestation and false imprisonment were filed on Monday. Investigators filed the charges after processing the victim’s cell phone and finding video evidence Estrada-Jimenez had sexually assaulted the girl while preventing her from leaving the bathroom.
Estrada-Jimenez is being held without bond at the Hall County Jail. He has also been placed on an immigration detainer
