Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators recently charged a Gainesville man with felony sexual battery in connection with an incident under investigation since January.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“Investigators obtained a warrant for Jonathon Izayah Singleton, 21, on Wednesday who has been held in the Hall County Jail since his early April arrest in an unrelated case.
According to the investigation, Singleton made physical contact with the victim’s breast on three occasions without her consent on Jan. 7… The victim, who knows Singleton, is under the age of 16. The two were together in a store in the 800 block of Ga. 53/Dawsonville Highway when the crime occurred.
The incident was first reported to deputies on Jan. 30, when the victim and a family member came to Hall County Sheriff’s Office headquarters.
HCSO deputies arrested Singleton on April 4 during a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Browns Bridge Road on a warrant for misdemeanor probation violation. He was also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. On April 10, a warrant for felony probation violation was added.
Singleton remains in the Hall County Jail without bond on the probation violations.”
