Gville fuel supplier suit claims it’s owed for a million gallons of gas

A Gainesville-based fuel supplier claims that some of the gas sold through the Freedom Fuel Network was never paid for.

Earlier this month, Mansfield Oil filed a federal suit against businessman Syed Kazmi and his company, KRSM, for more than one million gallons of unpaid gas obtained from a Pennsylvania terminal between May and July.

The four-million-dollar invoice went unpaid, according to the suit, and it also alleges KRSM sold some of the gas to stations in the Freedom Fuel Network, though the network is not accused of wrongdoing.

Mansfield claims that the unpaid fuel helped some of the discounted sales in July that President Trump used as evidence for “record low prices” on gas, in which Freedom Fuel sold gas at $3.47 in honor of the president.
