Defending Georgia Class 6A champion Buford will begin its season at home against Gainesville in a nationally televised game next month, according to Patch.
It will be the first meeting between the two state high school powerhouses in a dozen years and will be played in Buford. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 August 22 on ESPN.
Buford is ranked by ESPN as the nation’s top prep team.
