Forty million dollars’ worth of building permits were issued by the City of Gainesville last month, the bulk of that being for residential construction.
New construction permits include 75 for single-family homes at an estimated cost of $16.5 million.
New commercial construction activity includes one apartment permit at $1.5 million and two new facilities priced at a total of $10.5 million.
