A Gainesville man and one from Clayton escaped injury when the SUVs they were driving collided Wednesday night on Ga. 365 in Habersham County. The state patrol says both were traveling south at the time in the right lane.
“(A Jeep) was behind (a Ford and was) hauling a trailer,” the state patrol report says. “The driver of the Jeep was following too closely. The Jeep struck the Ford in the left rear.”
The report says after the collision, the trailer overturned onto GA 365 onto its right side in the left southbound lane.
Jason Woods, 49, of Clayton was given a warning for Following too Closely. Roberto Vargas-Alvarez, age 60, of Gainesville was the other driver. Both escaped uninjured.
