EARLIER STORY

(THURSDAY MORNING EDITOR’S NOTE: We are still awaiting details from the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) on the Browns Bridge Road wreck.

Details are sketchy on both but the wreck on Browns Bridge Road occurred at Pearl Nix Parkway and, according to a number of social media posts, involved several vehicles.

The accident on Georgia 365 happened at Mt. Zion Road. According to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office it was a rollover accident.

That’s the same intersection where three members of a Hall County Sheriff’s deputy were killed this summer, an accident took the lives of two other people. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) recently awarded a contract to reconstruct the intersection in light of that crash and others that have occurred there.

No word on whether there were any injuries in either of the Wednesday night wrecks.
