It was a week ago that 17-year-old Jazon Fejardo was gunned down as Gainesville’s First Friday Concert and fireworks were ending on the Midland Greenway. And police appear no closer to finding his killer now than they were then.
Saturday, via social media, they issued another plea for help in solving the crime.
“As investigators continue to pursue justice, we believe there are individuals who have information that could help move this case forward,” the posting reads. “Even the smallest detail may make a significant difference.
“If you know something, now is the time to come forward. Your information could help provide answers for Jazon’s family and bring justice to our community.
“If you have any information related to this case, please contact the Gainesville Police Department, 911 or submit an anonymous tip.
Justice begins with someone willing to speak up.”
Police did release a picture of a person of interest they are looking for earlier this week.
