Cirkla plans to invest more than $5 million to open a food‑packaging manufacturing facility in Gainesville, bringing roughly 140 new jobs to Hall County over the next three years.
The company, which develops molded‑fiber packaging used widely in the food industry, will establish its North American manufacturing headquarters at the Gainesville 85 Business Center. The facility will support Cirkla’s molded‑fiber products, including overwrap trays, and will feature patent‑pending technology, automation, in‑house labs and expanded finishing operations.
Cirkla specializes in sustainable packaging solutions, working across material science, product design, mold development, laminations and coatings. The company already operates large‑scale manufacturing facilities in India and is expanding domestically to meet growing U.S. demand.
The area’s established supply chain, workforce and proximity to major logistics assets — including the new Gainesville Inland Port — were key factors in the company’s decision, according to the announcement about the plant from the governor’s office.
