*Rebecca Thurman has been named Executive Director of the Gainesville-based Georgia Mountain Food Bank (GMFB). “At this pivotal point of organizational growth marked by the active capital campaign and facility expansion project, I am eager to assume leadership and guide our team toward the successful realization of our strategic initiatives,” Thurman said after being chosen for the job. She has served as interim Executive Director since Kay Blackstock retired a few months ago.
*The Lanier Technical College Associate of Science in Nursing program was chosen by the Georgia Nurses Foundation (GNF) to receive a scholarship for one of its senior nursing students. Lindsay Parkman was selected.
